Are the .CAT files you mentioned in reference to MAPI (mailbox level) backups? These can get quite large due to the amount of mailboxes, messages, etc protected (which could be in the millions). Regarding your concerns and the workaround described in your blog post, you can find the following articles on the topic in the EVault Customer Service Portal:

MAPI backup on Exchange 2007 fails with "Error getting mailbox list 1 (OS error (0x8004010F): unknown error code 0x8004010F)"
https://evault.my.salesforce.com/501A00000000vOP?srPos=2&srKp=501

How to move Agent's installation directory
https://evault.my.salesforce.com/501A00000000uww?srPos=21&srKp=501

Hope this helps and we look forward to your continued participation and contribution to the EVault Community.

Regards,
Tommy
EVault Customer SupportAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02202213355247040341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3089139018563775808.post-4846193591937148572012-07-10T08:04:05.157-07:002012-07-10T08:04:05.157-07:00To add to the list of why LiveVault sucks, I had t...To add to the list of why LiveVault sucks, I had to call customer service this morning as I kept receiving emails that a server I scheduled for deletion did not delete all data completely and in the email it states that if I continue to receive said email, to contact support.

I call them up and explain what the issue is and I then had to spend the fifteen minutes with the tier one person telling him that he should basically do his job and to contact the vault team and verify the server deletion as outlined by the email. The tier one person kept saying how he does not see it (the server) in the portal and well, no kidding it's not there; the email of the error is specific to the server deletion having a problem, not that it the deletion was successful. I can not wait to terminate the LiveVault contract with severe joy.Ken Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15549929339069760710noreply@blogger.com
